What is the difference between german and american bloodlines in German Shepherds?
Q. I'm looking at German Shepherds, researching them, and I was wondering if people could tell me more about the german and american lines. I already know a lot about GSDs.
Asked by Charlie - Wed Oct 8 21:55:20 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. German lines are bred more for strong bone structure and working ability, The dogs are larger and stronger. They have more of a natural protective instinct and willingness to work. American/Canadian lines are bred more for apperance, showing, and slanted backs, they make better family pets because they arent as intense as the German lines.

How long does it take to learn german fluently?
Q. I am moving to germany for 10 months. I know very little german Do you guys think 10 months is long enough to learn german fluently?
Asked by unknown - Sun Feb 14 22:50:17 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Yes. Definitely. But it depends on what you do. Most people will simply seek people from their own country, or people who speak their language. Those people do NOT become fluent. They choose the easy way, and get little reward for it. Force yourself to live in German only situations, with Germans only, and yes, after 10 months, you WILL be fluent. Make German friends, put yourself in difficult situations, and you will achieve your goals.
