What was the meteorological condition in Africa 2 million years ago?
Q. Is there a website where I can see how the conditions were all over the world 2 million years ago, specifically Africa. Thanks.
Asked by Carolus - Thu Sep 11 06:15:30 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. 2 million years ago falls in the late Pliocene (which extends from 5.3 to 1.8 Ma.) This was a period of extremely cool weather, ice ages, and glaciers. Also of note is that during this time Africa collided with Europe to form the Mediterranean Sea.
