AnagramsCroatianNoungolf m. sg. From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. Golf is a precision club-and-ball sport, in which competing players (golfers), using many types of clubs, attempt to hit balls into each hole on a golf course while employing the fewest number of strokes. Golf is one of the few ball games that does not require a standardized playing area. Instead, the game is played on golf "courses", each of which features a unique design, although courses typically consist of either nine or 18 holes. Golf is defined, in the rules of golf, as "playing a ball with a club from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the Rules." Golf competition is generally played for the lowest number of strokes by an individual, known simply as stroke play, or the lowest score on the most individual holes during a complete round by an individual or team, known as match play. We are a family of (4) considering relocating to the Bellevue, Kirkland, are of Washington. We love to golf and belong to an affordable golf club in the twin cities. Is there something affordable out in the Seattle area that would offer housing close by, or possibly on the golf course? Asked by bkm4653 - Mon Aug 18 22:53:32 2008 - - 2 Answers - 1 Comments A. No. If you are looking for "affordable" then, stay in the twin cities. This is the equivalent of asking if you can find a affordable house on Lake of the Isles... Bellevue and Kirkland are the heart of the posh east side Seattle suburbs. Look to pay anywhere from 700K up to be close to a golf course. Microsoft & it's millionaires have driven up prices in the area. You might find affordable and golf course way out in the far northwest suburbs (Monroe, Snohomish) or the southwest suburbs (Black Diamond, Covington) - Then you are stuck with multi hour commutes each way to Seattle. I have looked and there is no way to specify on the local real estate websites 'golf course' so, if you want to pursue it, contact a Realtor at one of the… [cont.] Answered by Steve M - Thu Aug 21 16:16:28 2008 What brand of golf clubs is best for a chick starting out? Q. I want to start playing golf. I'm 22 years old and I've done a little research on golf clubs. I knew going into this that Callaway is probably the best brand, but its also really expensive. Is Wilson a good brand for Women's golf clubs? I want to spend no more than 2 or 3 hundred dollars on a complete set to start out with. Is that reasonable? Asked by razzle - Wed Jun 3 16:47:12 2009 - - 3 Answers - 3 Comments A. Hello future golfer. I have been playing golf for about 5 years now. I use a non-brand set of clubs (Gear 2 Golf) it cost for the whole set about 350.00. I know the name is generic but these clubs have a softer feel to them and allow some forgiveness to mistake shots. All I can say is care full with brand names around that price. They are mostly true-hit clubs( as in they have no forgiveness to them). Hope this helps, good luck in your search. Q. I just signed up for Yahoo Fantasy Golf and Auto Racing. How does this work? I picked my team for the Auto Racing and Golf. Do I get points based upon their results in real-life races/golf tournaments or are the races/golf tournaments simulated and have their own winners? Is it like a pick-em for each real-life race/tournament to see who does best? I don't get this! Asked by Poloi - Fri Jan 18 17:37:59 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. in Fantasy Golf, a golfer can receive a maximum of 20 fantasy points in each round of a tournament. The golfer with the lowest real-life score in A Round receives 20 points. Other golfers receive 2 fewer points for every stroke they finish behind the leader (e.g., a golfer 1 stroke back for the round receives 18 points, a golfer 2 strokes back gets 16. Golfers 10 or more strokes back receive 0 points). You receive the total points earned by all active golfers on your team in each round provided that they haven't already been active in 10 tournaments You do not receive points for golfers in a non-activated (reserve) position in your lineup. Additionally, while a golfer might win a tournament, they might not have the lowest score in the… [cont.] Answered by charles - Fri Jan 18 18:09:35 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "golf" From Wikiquote under the GNU Free Documentation License.
